Manchester United advances to the Fa Cup fourth round
Manchester United defeated wolves by 1 goal to nil to advance to the fourth round of the Fa Cup. Juan Mata came to the rescue for the Red Devils with a lovely dink over Ruddy in the 67th minute.
United fans will still feel unsatisfied as Marcus Rashford limped off with a back injury after 15 minutes of action.
The England international was brought on at the 64th minute for Daniel James as the game was deadlocked at 0-0, but with the challenge by Wolves fullback Matt Doherty Rashford game time was cut short.
This injury comes as a big blow to Manchester United as they face Liverpool on Sunday in the English Premier League, and the young Englishman who is United’s top scorer looks unlikely to feature in that game. Manchester United’s fourth round opponent has still not be decided as the game between Watford and Tranmere was postponed to next week due to a waterlogged pitch.
Other results in the Fa Cup saw Cardiff defeating Carlisle United 4-3 from away to ensure their progress to the Fourth round of the Fa Cup.
They will be facing Reading in the fourth round Elsewhere in football, AC Milan and Juventus progresses to next round in the Coppa Italia as both sides won 3-0 and 4-0 respectively.
AC Milan had no stress in defeating Spal as new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic was an unused sub. Also in Turin Juventus were without Cristiano Ronaldo as they easily got past Udinese, with goals from Higuain, Douglas Costa, and Paulo Dybala who scored twice.

Paris St Germain came out victorious in their game second game in a week against Monaco with a 4-1 trashing. Neymar, Sarabia and Kylian Mbappe who is an ex Monaco player scored twice to put a safe distance in PSG’s first position in the France Ligue 1. PSG are now 8 points clear of second placed Marseille.
