Jurgen Klopp wins Premier League awards
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been announced as the Premier League manager of the month for January.
This is the fifth time this season Jurgen Klopp has won the award.
Chelsea’s Frank Lampard is the only other manager to have won it this season.
Klopp currently owns the record of most Premier League manager of the month awards for a single season.
He won the award in the month of August, September, November, December and January.
The Liverpool manager won the award over Man city’s Guardiola, Watford’s Nigel Pearson and Southampton’s Ralph Hassenhutl.
Liverpool won all their games in the month of January, having defeated Tottenham, Manchester United, West Ham, Wolves and Sheffield United.
Klopp’s men still remain undefeated this season, with only one draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Manchester City Striker Sergio Aguero was named player of the month.
Sergio Aguero sets a new record by winning his seventh Player of the Month Award.
He overtook Steven Gerrard and Harry Kane which have both won it six times.
Sergio Aguero scored six times and registered one assist in the month of January.
In Manchester city’s 6-1 victory against Aston Villa, the Argentine scored an hat-trick.
He also broke Thierry Henry’s record for the most goals scored by a foreign player in the Premier League.

Aguero won the POTM award for January, ahead of Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure, Leicester’s Ayoze Perez, Southampton’s Jack Stephens and Liverpool duo Allison and Henderson.
