Juventus defender Daniele Rugani test positive for coronavirus
Daniele Rugani who plays for Juventus and Italy has said he’s fine after testing positive for coronavirus. Juventus have taken every isolation procedures required by law to handle the situation even with those who have recently come in contact with Rugani.
The Juventus defender has come out on Twitter to share the current situation and advise his fans to take precautionary measures to avoid the virus: “You’ve read the news, so I want to reassure everyone who’s worried about me, I’m fine. I urge everyone to respect the rules, because this virus makes no distinction! Let’s do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us.”
According to Reuters, the whole Juventus squad will spend two weeks in quarantine but the Italian giants are still due to play the second leg of their Uefa Champions League round of 16 tie against Lyon next week.
Daniele Rugani was an unused sub in Juventus 2-0 win over Inter Milan on Sunday, he also shared a photo of him celebrating with the team after the match.
Inter Milan whose Europa League tie with Getafe has been postponed announced “that all competitive activities are suspended until further notice’’ following Rugani’s positive test.
Italy currently has over 12,000 confirmed cases and the Italian Football Federation announced on Tuesday that the League may not finish because of the coronavirus outbreak.
