“It’s not a mistake to make a mistake”- Bishop Chris E Kwakpovwe
In his latest online sunday service message, Bishop Chris E Kwakpovwe, publisher of Our Daily Manna devotional spoke about the fact that God knew we would make a mistake even before it happened and making a mistake is not the end.
“Great things have been born out of great mistakes”- he said.
Bishop Chris preached using examples of great men like Joel Osteen, one of the biggest preachers in the US who is a product of a remarriage, David in the bible who slept with Uriah’s wife but is celebrated in Israel even till today.
“Do not condemn yourself because God can turn a mistake around. God uses the imperfect for his purpose. Romans 9:16. The mistake people make is not the problem, the problem is how they respond to the mistake they’ve made. When the prodigal son in the bible realised he has made a mistake, he returned to his Father’s house. There is always a new beginning for anyone who has made a mistake.”
Bishop Chris E Kwakpovwe spoke further about the reasons why people make mistakes. He listed the following:
1. Lack of the Father’s Blessing.
2. Marital mistakes: marrying a christian sister or brother instead of marrying your friend.
Also, when people marry just to avoid fornication alone instead of marrying for the right reasons.
3. Revealing your secrets to the wrong people.
Do not trust blindly in order to avoid fatal consequences.
4. Not hearing the voice of God.
Always be prayerful and do not move ahead of God.
The bishop gave more biblical examples of great men whose mistakes later turned into a blessing. One of them was Abraham;
• Abraham’s mistake of birthing Ishmael later turned out to be a blessing. Genesis 37:27. When Joseph was thrown into a pit by his brother’s, the ishmaelites were the people who rescued Joseph. Joseph became a blessing to Israel and the whole world by saving them from famine years later.
In conclusion, the bishop stated that if anyone makes any mistake, he or she should rise again, because making a mistake only becomes a mistake when we fail to learn & rise from it.
