“Your father was convicted for money laundering”- fans drag Kiddwaya after he bragged about being hardworking
Kiddwaya, bbnaija star and son of popular billionaire Terry Waya is currently being “dragged” on twitter after his post yesterday about being hardworking.
Kiddwaya tweeted:
“The difference between you and I is hard work. The rest is just excuses.”
Reacting to this, some of his fans slammed him for bragging over illegally gotten money by his dad. They reminded him that his dad was convicted for money laundering some years ago.
They also told him to be humble because he has gotten all he has through privilege and not hardwork.
In 2007, Sahara Reporters published a news about Terry Waya’s arrest in London.
“UK-based Nigerian socialite, Terry Waya has been convicted by a British court for money laundering. He is due to be sentenced on August 7th 2007.
A police source in London told Saharareporters that Terry Waya was also fined £145,000 after being found guilty by a jury for money laundering.
Terry Waya was the Benue State born; socialite businessman whose 2001 birthday bash was attended by majority of Nigerian state governors. He was a close associate of ex-governor DSP Alamieyeseigha and reportedly posted bail on his behalf before the former Bayelsa State governor bolted from the UK.
Terry was arrested in late 2005 and his trial commenced mid -2006 until he was found guilty by the UK court.”
