Telecommunication Companies receive license to issue NIN

Telecommunications Companies have been licensed to register people seeking for their National Identity Numbers

This was made known by the Director General of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC),Aliyu Aziz,he said some other private and public organisations have also been licensed by the Commission to provide NINs in order to reduce the crowds gathering everyday at NIMC offices

This announcement is coming after the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria,NIMC unit met with the communication Minister following their protest on January 7th and few days strike against the poor welfare the commission face

Minister of Communication and Digital Economy,Isa Pantami had constituted a committee to address the demands of NIMC officials
