Wizkid, Nasty C, Platnumz, Khaligraph, and others appear on “MAMA Kampala 21” performance line up

MTV Africa, who are the organiser of MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) has announced top stars that are included in their performance line up.

The MAMAs event, is an event dedicated to African youths, showing the best of African talent, music and culture to the entire world. Top stars in the performance line up are:

Nigerian Wizkid, Ugandan Sheebah Karungi, South African Nasty C, Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz, Kaligraph Jones and Suspect 95.

Others include:

Soraia Ramos of Cape Verde, Sao Time and Principe’s Calema.

While speaking about the event, the Senior Vice President and General Manager through ComCBS Network Africa, Monde Twala said:

“The MAMAs are a global spotlight on African music and artists, and this lineup of incredible talent speaks to the tremendous power of music on our continent.”

“This year’s show is dedicated to the youth of Africa, and we are committed to amplifying social change through music and culture and to elevating youth voices across our platforms,” he added.

Khaligraph Jones of Kenya and Soraia Ramos will debut the MAMAs stage while Sao Tome and Principe’s Calema who is running for the “song of the year” have four MAMA nominations in total.

This year’s event, will virtually hold on February 20th and will be streamed on MTV Base(DStv channel 322) and MTV Africa (DStv channel 130). The event will be held in partnership with the Uganda Tourism Board.

In a statement, MTV Africa announced that more performers will be announced in the next two days as well as the finalists for the “MAMA Generation Change Award”.
