Woman Crush Wednesday: Bbnaija Star, Ayibanengimote “Nengi” Rebecca Hampson
Our Woman Crush for the week, is 2020 Big brother naija ex-housemate, Ayibanengimote Rebecca Hampson popularly known as “Nengi”.
The Bbnaija star is from Bayelsa State. She studied Communications at the University of Port-Harcourt.
Nengi is a Capricorn, born on the 1st of January.
She was quoted to have said:
“If you want the job done right, give it to a Capricorn. I give 110% of my energy and enthusiasm into everything I do”.
Nengi is an orphan. She once told the story of her life, where she talked about the tragic death of her parents.
Ayibanengimote didn’t have a rosy life while growing up, she lost her father at the age of 2. Her mother had to play the role of both parents.
Though Flora, her mum wasn’t educated, her mother did her best to see to it that her children got the best education.
Nengi has a sister whom she loves dearly. With the death of her mum, her sister became the closest family.
In 2017, Nengi contested for the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN). That was her first shot at fame, coming 3rd runner up.
In 2020, Nengi was one of the housemates in the big brother naija reality TV show, where she came 3rd place.
After bbnaija, Ayibanengimote has done extremely well. Currently, she has the Most brand endorsement deals.
Nengi is an influencer/ambassador for Payporte, Jenny Glow, Remy Martin, Lucious Hair, Periwinkle Residences, Guinness and a few others.
She has also proven to be a great lover of God. Recently, she granted an interview where she boldly said she can never be an influencer for aphrodisiac products, because it is against her morals. She also declined participating in the trending Silhouette Challenge which shows women dancing naked in a dark room under a red light.
She also led her followers in a scriptural challenge recently, with popular bible quote “If God Be For Us, Who Can Be Against Us”.
Ayibanengimote is our woman crush this week because we admire her determination for success, beauty, wisdom and morality.
Indeed, she is a queen in every sense of the word.
