Davido’s former artiste, Lil Frosh remanded in Ikoyi prison for assault

Nigerian artiste Sanni Wasiu popularly called Lilfrosh, has been remanded in prison for some days.

The verdict was given by a Magistrate of the Lagos State Magistrate High Court, Adeola Olatunbosun who on Tuesday ordered the remand of Lil Frosh at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Okeoghene Iyomaterie.

The news of the musician assaulting his girlfriend, Gift came up last year, due to the story, he was sacked by his DMW boss, David Adeleke better known as Davido.

Michael, Iyomaterie’s manager had on October 5, 2020, on his Instagram handle accused the artiste of assaulting her which he strongly denied.

Punch gathered that the 18-year-old Lilfrosh was invited by the policemen at the Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, on Thursday, February 4, 2021, for interrogation.

Lilfrosh’s arraignment was sped up by the International Association Of Women Lawyers, Lagos State branch. He was arraigned on one count of assault without a counsel to defend him.
Though he pleaded not guilty to the accusations he was still ordered to be remanded in the correctional center. The case was adjourned till March 9, 2021.
