Nollywood actor Victor Decker passes on

The Nollywood industry has lost another of its veteran actor in the person of Victor Decker. News of his death was announced by Uzee Usman a fellow actor on Tuesday morning.

He wrote,

“Can’t believe I’m typing this!
“But a reminder that this is not our home, we’re all on a journey!.
“This is how I chose to remember you!
“Goodnight GENERAL!
“Rest In Peace!”

Decker starred in films like Double Strings, If I am President and Lotanna.
He was a member of the Abuja branch of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN). The cause of his death is not yet known.

Lotanna is a story set in the 90s of a young man who looses his father at a young age, and then while struggling to achieve his dreams as a musician his father’s old debts come back to haunt him.

“If I am” President is a movie set in the present-day political terrain and discourses in Nigeria, “If I Am President” tells the story of 37-year old ZinachiOhams, the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Rebirth Party, a new party made up of young idealists and recently metamorphosed from a Civil Society Organization.

The group make a push into the murky and rough political terrain, armed with little more than their ideals, and wade through challenges of nasty politically engineered attacks, to emerge as the party and candidate to beat in the oncoming elections.

Double strings is all about the perfect life of Jenny who has a great job and a newly wedded husband. But her life is brought to an halt when she wakes up to the dead body of her husband. Facing accusation as the prime suspect in the murder, she starts to uncover dark secrets that put her in the target of some criminal kingpin.
