During a live Instagram chat with Juliet Audu, Rachael Okonkwo had told celebrities not to trend for wrong reason, she said,
“Don ’t follow trends . Before you follow any trend , ask yourself if it is in sync with your vision. And does it align with where you want to be ? Everything is not meant for everybody . You must not do things because you think the other person is doing it. If it is negative , do not do it. Do not be in a hurry to prove a point. That has drained a lot of people financially , morally and physically.
It looks like they are running but no one is pursuing them. Don ’t be in a hurry to trend . When great things happen in your life, people would genuinely celebrate you. You don’ t have to be on all blogs to be great. I think it does more damage than good. It’ s not just about the fame for me, it’s also about integrity, morals, values and a good name . Don ’t trend for bad things my brothers and sisters. A time would come when those people you think are not watching would call you to say they are proud of you. Growth is a process ; it’s not something that would happen overnight.”
When asked about her most embarrassing moment with a fan, she said it was when she was kissed by a die hard fan,
“Yes o. I came out of my car to enquire something from someone and on noticing I was the one, the young man jumped up and kissed me right on my lips. And this happened in a traffic jam; so, many people saw it. I can’t forget that day in a hurry. I felt so embarrassed that I felt like disappearing from there. It was one of those things.”, she answered.

When asked the type of man she is looking for in one of her interviews she said,
“I want a man that understands me more than all the men in the world. A man that understands the nature of my job. He must also be hard working and has the fear of God in him. And of course, no man is perfect but kudos to those that try to be so. I have been heartbroken, but I didn’t kill myself over that. I picked up the pieces of my heart and moved on. You know how it feels watching someone you cherished so much to leave you for another girl. But thank God, someone better than him has taken his place.”
When asked about her inspiration Rachael Okonkwo said,
“A lot of things give me inspiration for the things that I do. First, I am inspired by God, children as well as the love for humanity. I must say that nothing gives me joy like touching lives positively. One principle that I hold onto is to be myself. I don’t like to copy others because I strongly believe in myself. Life is about contributing your quota, touching lives and leaving a good legacy behind.”
