She tweeted a few hours ago:

“Stop joking about depression, stop using it as an insult to people. If you’re not sure someone is really depressed don’t say he/she is and if you are sure, help the person by pointing them in the right direction for treatment.”

Some of her followers also wrote:

“Mental health is not noticed as much in our society as it should be. So many people are struggling with something by themselves because they don’t know how to communicate with others because of the stigma around this topic.

“Nigerians need a lot of unlearning to do! Everything is not cruise, depression isn’t something to be joked with, that is a very delicate topic, but some people lack emotional intelligence and feel Everything shouldn’t be cruise, may God help us”

“Exactly queen, depression is real and people over look it and use tht to put someone down, actually the ones tht do tht need help themselves coz it’s clear they hv a mental health problem too which they hv never realized..”

Some Twitter users still wanted to troll Erica for her innocent and educative tweet, a fan of the reality tv star wrote:

“If anyone read this tweet and all you can do is troll, abuse or insult Erica, let it be a known fact that such needed to be admitted for therapy. They are mentally unstable. Who did dis to Nigerians, all in d name of stan ship?? Sad to c d level society has deteriorated into.”
