Rape Saga: “It Was A Spiritual Problem”- Baba Ijesha Finally Confesses(Video)

A video of Baba Ijesha confessing to the rape accusation has surfaced online. Recall that the Nollywood actor was accused of raping a 14-year old girl, the first rape incident was when she was 7.

In the viral video posted by actress Iyabo Ojo, the mother of the girl, comedienne Princess could be seen asking the actor the reason for his action. Baba Ijesha was also seen pleading for forgiveness.

However, Baba Ijesha claimed he is suffering from a spiritual problem and that was what pushed him into doing what he did.

In another news, the Lagos State Police command has reported that Baba Ijesha would be released today, that he cannot continue being in detention when the court is on strike.

In spite of the cries of Nigerians including prominent people to bring the actor to justice, the Police stated that the CCTV only shows Baba Ijesha touching the girl and not having sexual intercourse with her.

The Police also added that the incident is meant to have been reported when it occured 7 years ago but since it was not reported to the police. It has become statute-barred.

According to the police, since the young lady denied the claims that she was raped, the case is a case of indecent assault and not sexual harassment and such a case is open to bail.
