Dorathy Bachor & Other Celebrities Reacts As Nigerian Government Bans Twitter

Nigerian government banned the use of micro blogging platform, Twitter, early hours of today. This has caused a lot of reactions from several Nigerians especially social media Influencers and celebrities.

Popular big brother stars Dorathy Bachor, Vee, Leo and OAP Toke Makinwa couldn’t help but wonder why the Nigerian government will take such actions without considering the effect it will have on its citizens.

Vee tweeted;

“They’re testing the waters with this twitter ban. It has just begun 💔

CNN should hurry up and give Nigeria a reality TV show. Our governments talents must not waste 😩😂”

She also shared a tweet on her account:

“I get it, #TwitterBan is here and everyone is running to use VPN but then after we use VPN, are we just going to be quiet?

This attitude of adapting to situations, while it is a great character as a people, it’ll surely plunge us into more deep sh*t than we’re currently in.”

Dorathy Bachor tweeted :

“Pounds is now 720, And it’s banning Twitter that’s their problem atm 💔”

Leo wrote:

“Good morning to everyone on earth except the Nigerian Government.

Immediately I woke up and opened twitter, na VPN log in enter my dm.
I wan cry this morning.”

“Everyone just dey share blame up and down, left and right on how this Goverment got into power.
Everything don hit all of us now, what is the way forward?”

Toke Makinwa who is currently out of the country wrote:

“So Nigerian Twitter really Ban???? That’s it, I’m not coming back. The state of my country really truly saddens me so much.”
