Reality TV star, Lucy Edet, has explained why her fellow celebrities are fond of clout Chasing online.
Chasing clout is when someone does and says things for the sole purpose of becoming more popular. It is most often used to describe people on social sites that are shallow and desperate to gain followers and become famous.
According to Lucy, brands only want to be associated with celebrities that have huge engagement on their posts. These brands don’t care about personality, all they care about is numbers.

In other news, nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has pleaded with Nigerians to beg her estranged husband Lanre Gentry to sign the divorce papers.
She made the request in an interview with PUNCH News. This happened few days after the actress and her estranged husband fought dirty on social media during Father’s day celebration.
In the interview, she revealed she wasn’t divorced .
Her words:
“No. Please, everyone should appeal to him to sign the divorce papers. He has even refused to accept them. We are still married and not yet divorced. The divorce is not yet finalized. Maybe I should use this medium to appeal, you guys should help me beg him to let me go
He is. That is who he is. He is a ‘d*adbeat’ dad in capital letter. He is. So, he should not come and claim some things. These are things that can be found out because the school is there. Anybody can find these things out so he should stop lying,”
Mercy Aigbe, said the crisis that rocked their marriage began a few days after she discovered that her husband, Lanre Gentry, was sleeping with a certain lady and her personal assistants, this was in 2017.
The actress who had accused her husband of physical violence which she said affected her sight and caused her to bleed internally for over three weeks, disclosed this in a tell-it-all interview with BroadwayTV.
