Last month, Rita Dominic explained the reason she ventured into movie production.
Rita Dominic disclosed this in a guest appearance she made on the Phantom Xtraordinaire, a show hosted by Tobi Bakre.
According to the actress, being blacklisted in Nollywood movies spurred her into becoming a movie producer. She added that she was blacklisted along side other actors but hers was a silent one which she figured out early.
She said,
“At some point in my career, I wanted to evolve and do different things. But the people I used to work with then couldn’t be bothered, so I wasn’t getting work. I was blacklisted silently. Back then, there was a major blacklisting (of some actors). However, mine was silent. That was actually one of the things that made me start producing movies.”
Rita is one of the few Nollywood actors who have produced block buster Cinema movies. Some of the movies she has produced include: The Meeting and La Femme Anjola which she said took her five years to produce.
She is also the Co-founder of the Audrey Silva Company
