Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem, has opened up concerning his plans for Saturday’s 2022 World Cup qualifier against Liberia in Tangier, Morocco.
The Eagles will try to keep their leadership in Group C when they take on the Lone Star, in the fifth round of games in the qualifiers.
Awaziem, one of the players invited for the important fixture, talked about how he intends to help the team secure a win.
“I think everyone is motivated, everyone is ready for the game,” he said on NFF’s TV.
“We are focus on the game and hope we come up with a positive result. We are working so hard to get the three points and qualify.
“As a defender you always want to get a clean sheet. I hope we work together as a team and I will try to get a clean sheet if I get to start. Also, I’m going to give my best to help us get goals.”
Victory for the Eagles and Cape Verde’s failure to beat Central African Republic, will see the Super Eagles and three-time African champions qualify for the play-off.
