Astroworld Tragedy: Nike Formally Postpones Release of Travis Scott Sneaker Collaboration
Embattled American singer, Jacques Webster, better known as Travis Scott, has continued to feel the pinch of the Astroworld tragedy, a concert he organized.
It could be recalled that the concert left ten dead and many injured.
Although, the spokesperson of the rapper has come to his defense saying that he is nor responsible for the tragedy but he intends to be responsible for the solution.
However, this has not stopped the number of lawsuits and popular footwear brand, Nike, has also joined the fray saying that an upcoming collaboration the rapper has with the brand is now put on hold due to the incident at Astroworld.
Nike disclosed this in a statement it issued to the press saying that it is postponing its sneaker collaboration with Travis Scott that was initially supposed to drop on December 16th.
The statement said:
“Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack.”
