Kanu, Okocha More Skillful Than Many English Players – John Terry

Former Chelsea defender, John Terry, says Austin Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu as two of the most skillful and exceptional players to have ever graced the English Premier League.

Terry disclosed this during an interview with PUNCH Sports Extra, where he said that they are more skillful than many English players.

The England international also stated that Kanu and Okocha’s talents made it difficult for defenders to mark in the Premier League and Europe.

He said:

“One of the first Nigerians I against was Kanu, he had this way he used to drag the ball. As a defender, you always knew what he would do, but he was always very difficult to mark, you wouldn’t know who to stop him. Just like Brazilians, Nigerian players are very skillful, unlike English players.

“Kanu and Okocha were some of the most skillful players in the English Premier League, they played with flair and were difficult to stop.”
