How old is Megan Stallion?
Megan Jovon Ruth Pete better known as Megan Thee Stallion is an American rapper, model and songwriter born on February 15, 1995 in San Antonio, Texas.
No sooner had her mum, Holly Thomas given birth to her than she relocated to Houston. And there she attended Pearland High School where she graduated in 2013, same year, she entered Prairie View A&M University. Unfortunately, it was during that period she lost her dad. How did Megan Thee Stallion join the music industry?
Her mum who was also a rapper with the stage name ‘Holly-wood’ set the pace for her daughter as she always took her to her recording sessions.
Megan Thee Stallion began writing raps in her teens and on the day she presented her raps to her mother, she was told to wait till she gets to 21 before she can venture into music, her mum also didn’t forget to point out what she noticed about her daughter’s raps. She stated that they were too sexually suggestive for a girl of her age.
While in school, Megan Thee Stallion began uploading freestyles of her talent on her social media handles and then she formed the name ‘Megan Thee Stallion’. According to her, she chose Stallion because that was the nickname she was given back then in her teens due to her height and voluptuous stature.
Megan Thee Stallion’s Musical Breakthrough
Making good use of the followers she had amassed on social media, Megan Thee Stallion released her first single ‘Like a Stallion’ on April, 2016. Same year, she released ‘Rich Ratchet’, a SoundCloud exclusive mixtape.
In 2017, the rapper released ‘Megan Mix’ and in September of that same year, she dropped her solo debut extended play titled ‘Make it Hot’. Luckily for her, ‘Last Week in HTx’ which was a single in the EP surpassed a million views on YouTube and that got the EP more popular. Still in 2017, Megan Thee Stallion decided to create something out of XXXTentacion’s “Look at Me” and so, she came up with “Stalli”.
Moving over to the year 2018, Megan Thee Stallion signed into 1501 Certified Entertainment, a music label owned by Carl Crawford. In June, 2018, she released a 10 track EP titled ‘Tina Snow’ and in November of the same year, the model signed into 300 Entertainment.
Few days after entering 2019, Megan Thee Stallion releaser “Big Ole Freak”. In April the song became number 99 on Billboard Hot 100 and later, it moved to No.65
In May, Megan released ‘Fever’, same month, she dropped the music video for “Realer”
Fast forward to August, the 26years old rapper released ‘Hot Girl Summer’, a single which featured Nicki Minaj and TY Dollar Sign. The music got to number 11 on US Billboard Top Hot 100. In September, she joined ROC Nation and in January 2020, Megan dropped single ‘Diamonds’ featuring Normani which was the soundtrack for ‘Birds of Prey’.
In the same month, Megan released a single ‘B.I.T.C.H’ and in March 2020, she released EP ‘Suga’. In April, she featured Beyonce in the remix of ‘Savage’ which was a track in her ‘Suga’ album. And in June, she dropped ‘Girls in the Hood’, same year, she got featured in Cardi B’s ‘WAP’.
Megan Thee Stallion became global ambassador for Revion in August 2020 and in October, she dropped a single ‘Don’t Stop’ featuring Young Thug.
Towards the end of the year, Megan released her debut studio album ‘Good News’ and a single ‘Body’.
Her song ‘Something for the Hotties’ which she released in October 2021 became No.5 on the US Billboard 200.
In one of her interviews, Megan the Stallion revealed her late mum who passed on in 2019 due to a brain tumour is her biggest influencer same as PimC and his 2006 solo album. Megan named Q-Tip as her mentor and recognized The Notorious B.I.G’s word play, Thrice 6matra and Lil Kim as people who inspire her.

Who Is Megan Thee Stallion’s Boyfriend
The rapper dated Moneybagg Yo in early 2019 and broke up with him in December same year.
She was linked to Trey Songz in 2019 and Indyamarie, Chris Brown’s ex girlfriend in the same year.
She is currently dating rapper Pardison Fontaine and she has confirmed it on her Instagram account.
Controversies
In August, 2020, Megan accused Tony Lanez of being the gunman who shot her on the foot at a pool party in Kylie Jenner’s house. The issue has not fully been resolved.
Megan Thee Stallion has a networth of over $8million.
