“I Can’t Believe I Was In Prison This Time Last Year”-Tems Recounts Her Prison Experience As She Appreciates God
Fast rising singer, Tems has recounted her experience in Uganda prison last year December.
You will recall that exactly a year ago, Tems and her colleagues, Omah Lay, and Muyiwa Ayomiyi were arrested by the Ugandan Police when they went into the country for a concert. They were charged for negligently engaging in acts that will increase the spread of Covid-19. You will also recall that during that period, some countries were strict with their Covid-19 laws.
Taking to her social media account to recount the story, Tems revealed that she was kept in the same room with some women and children. The singer also added that while she was there, she bonded with the women and children she found there. She further attributed her success to God.
She tweeted,
“This very day Last Year, I was sitting in prison in Uganda bonding with women and kids. “I almost can’t believe the things I’ve seen so far. “All I can say is God is too awesome and He will always have the last and final laugh”.
