Bbnaija Star, Angel Smith Rants About The Nigerian System
Former big brother naija housemate, Angel Smith, has complained about how difficult it is for the average Nigerian to rent a house and pay Bills.
In a series of tweets, Angel Smith wrote:
“Rent could be paid monthly so people have time to bounce back, there could be a payment plan for cars, everything could be a little more organized and convenient but no we will still vote people with empty promises into a positions of power next year, exhausting cycle.
I still can’t believe how unfair the Nigerian system is tbh; especially considering the fact that it’s the poverty capital of the world. You pay huge amounts for things like cars, housing, water etc. nothing like car notes, mortgages, just suffering 🙁 and struggling to pay.
You’ll drop 50m on a house just for the roof to start leaking 2 months later.
Buy a car 5m, pay an outrageous amount for rent for subpar apartments, still pay light bill for inconsistent power supply, still pay water bill, food, gas. When the system could be so much easier if we had organized data.
The system has to undergo all round change because if we are being honest, we pay too much for the subpar houses and services we get
The problem is that it’s only the select few that CAN afford it; the system is supposed to make the lives of majority of the citizens easier. People are living on wooden houses, sheds and under the bridge”
