Sport International Scholarship Ambassador Program 2022 At University Of Queensland, Australia

The University of Queensland is awarding Sport International Scholarship Ambassador Program worth $1500 in support services per athlete per year to highly motivated students.

This program was introduced in 2010 to provide high performance support services to professional and/or elite athletes who are ineligible for other scholarships on offer.

The university offers associate, bachelor, master, doctoral, and higher doctorate degrees through a college, a graduate school, and six faculties. UQ incorporates over one hundred research institutes and centres offering research programs, such as the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, BoeingResearch and Technology Australia Centre, the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, and the UQ Dow Centre for Sustainable Engineering Innovation. Recent notable research of the university include pioneering the invention of the HPV vaccine that prevents cervical cancer, developing a COVID-19 vaccine that was in human trials, and the development of high-performance superconducting MRI magnets for portable scanning of human limbs.

Eligibility criteria for the Sport International Scholarship Ambassador Program.

To become eligible for the award, applicants must:

1. Have represented at an open, national or international level in their chosen sport; or

2. Play in a professional sporting league; and

3. Are enrolled, or intend to enrol, in a University of Queensland program (undergraduate or postgraduate) on a part-time or full-time basis

4. Fulfil the required conditions for their undergraduate or postgraduate degree field at the university.

5. Provide evidence of English language ability as per the university guidelines.
