Asuu Suspends Eight Months Old Strike, Lecturers And Student Set To Return To Classes Soon
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has suspended its Eight months old strike. It could be recalled that the union embarked on strike since February 14.
The union made the decision to end the strike after they had meeting last night which lasted to the early hours of Friday morning.
Also ,Asuu confirmed the suspension of the strike via their official Twitter handle.
Their tweets reads;
“The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has suspended the strike.
The president of Asuu, Emmanuel Osodeke will adress the public today and memo of the meeting they had last night would be out by Ten am today.
ASUU decision is coming after the court of appeal ordered them to call off the strike and get back to classes as soon as possible..
