Former senator and Chief Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, Dino Melaye, has mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over his action at the Chatham House in London.

Earlier Tinubu spoke on Monday, December 6, at the Chatham House lecture titled: ‘Nigeria’s 2023 elections: In conversation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu’.

He sparked mixed reactions after assigning members of his team to answer some of the questions he was asked at the United Kingdom Think-Thank institute.

After delivering his speech at the event, the former Governor of Lagos State was questioned by the audience on issues regarding security, economic and foreign policy.

Instead of responding himself, the former Lagos State governor surprisingly asked Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to answer a question on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity. He also asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft.

Tinubu also delegated a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, Wale Edun, to respond to a question on how he (Tinubu) would boost the economy if elected.

Reacting to the development in a video posted on his social media pages, Melaye mocked Tinubu for assigning some of his team to answer questions directed to him, describing him as a “question distributor”.

The former Kogi Senator also berated the APC flagbearer for failing to attend the Town Hall meeting organised by Arise News, adding that Tinubu was afraid of answering some controversial questions.
