Reality tv star and brand influencer, Queen Mercy Atang has taken to her Instagram page to pen down a heartwarming note to Davido and his wife, Chioma.

In her latest Instagram story, she prayed that may God bless Davido and Chioma for teaching the general public what love is truly about.

Her post reads;

“To stay in love is not by emotion”.

Personally, I’m never keen on discussing celebrity romantic relationships publicly.

One of the reasons being that they already have a slimmer chance of surviving by simply being in the limelight.

Magnifying glasses, endless interferences and millions of uninformed judges only makes matters worse.

As expected, many cannot stand the pressure, so they cave in, leaving trails of messy accusations that achieves one thing constantly, which is to weaken the interest of millions of thier fans in marriage.

Trust the media to milk every failure for it’s entertainment value. Immortalizing the horror of, and spreading the dread for the union. Making it seem impossible.

Waking up to this picture all I could see was a chance to rekindle faith in relationships as something that can work.

Only ignorant people think that money protects relationships from nose diving.

These two experienced one of the worst tragedy that can wreck a union in the loss of their son. They also managed to return from a break up. They survived almost millions of opinions thugging at thier peace. The threat of ethnic divide has no hold on them. The pressure on him by other girls to replace her may have been a joke compared to how many men must have promised her a million times more, just to be the next man to step out with her. Trust my gender, they’ll do it. They survived all that.

I see two youngsters who have set an example of what it is like to fight for what you have. A real effort we must admire. An example that should inspire not just celebrities but every other person scared of trying.

For thier ages, they should be celebrated for the effort. It is beyond average. Let us spare a min to point this out. Call a spade a spade. They have tried. To stay in love is not by emotion. It’s a decision
