Actress Iyabo Ojo Sues Naira Marley For N1 Billion (DETAIL)

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has sued singer, Naira Marley for N1 billion.

You may recall that lawyers of Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, had demanded a public apology and N500m in damages citing a September 2023 Instagram post by Ojo, where she allegedly accused Marley of engaging in “spiritual and physical dealings” with the late singer Mohbad and causing him “mental harm”.

Marley’s lawyer, Olalekan Ojo, had outlined the accusations in a letter to Ojo, which she now claims was brought to the media and public “but deliberately not delivered or served”.

In her letter which was made public via her verified Instagram page on Monday, Ojo’s lawyer described the letter as a social media blackmail.

“Our client would’ve ordinarily dismissed your letter dated 12th December 2023 for being outrightly inconsequential and of no relevance, premised on your failure to transmit the correspondence till this very day”, the letter read in part.

Our client finds your client’s demands spurious, frivolous and clout-chasing but shall initiate an action in case your client fails to do so. Our client shall be claiming the sum of one billion naira.”
