‘A Tribe Called Judah’ experiences 55% gross flop this week
In the latest movie chart report of Cinemas Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) , block buster movie , A Tribe Called Judah saw a 55% drop between January 12, 2024 to January 18, 2024. The data revealed that the comedy-drama grossed N84.6 Million, this is a far cry from the profits of last week’s earnings.
Although, this significant drop hasn’t affected the Funke Akindele’s produced film from topping the charts. It is the most watched Nigerian cinematic movie for the fifth week in a row since it’s release on December 15, 2023, racking up to just over N1.3bn so far.
However, Second on the chart is ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ experiencing a 48% drop this week. Third, is Toyin Abraham’s family drama ‘Malaika’ with over N270 Million gains in total despite reported piracy leaks.“I had panic a++acks due to piracy of Malaika” – Abraham reveals, arrests culprits [ SEE VIDEO ] And Fourth place is occupied by Mercy Aigbe’s ‘Ada Omo Daddy’ with N200 Million in total.
Amid, the fights against illegal content streaming and piracy, A Tribe Called Judah and Malaika are doing exceptionally great in both home and abroad.
