“I’m So Devastated Reading All The Lies & Rumors People Are Peddling Online….” TC Okafor Says As He Pens Tribute To JP & Other Colleagues Who D!ed In Boat Mishap

The peace in Nollywood, and by extension, a large part of the country, was shattered on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, when popular Nollywod actor, Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, and three others were confirmed dead in a boat mishap in Asaba, Delta State.

At the trend of the incident, TC Okafor was one of the members on the same boat, but he survived the accident.

Momedia recalled that the actor TC Okafor, claimed as the boat ride began, he sprayed some cash and soft drink into the water for appeasement, which was later an headline which was said to have saved his life.

TC penned down a tribute to his colleague;

“I find it extremely difficult to pen down this tribute to you JP and the four crew members who lost their lives and rumors people are pending online.

I have handed everything to God who sees the heart of men. I’m not here to apportion blames but truth be told, these deaths could have been averted if safety measures were put in place.

Adieu JP and the four crew members who died alongside you in the course of doing what they loved most. You will forever live in our hearts. The earth lost a superstar but the heaven gained an ANGEL.”
