Singer Portable Jumps Gate, Trying To Escape As Police Come To Arrest Him Over Alleged Unpaid Debt For His G-Wagon (VIDEO)
Nigerian famous singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, spent the night at the Lagos state police headquarters in Ikeja after he was arrested on Tuesday, May 14 over unpaid debt for his G-Wagon.
Report came in earlier, that Portable was arrested following a petition from the car dealer who claimed the singer had purchased a G-Wagon from him at N27 million.
Dealer said Portable paid only N13m and has refused to pay the N14m balance.
The car dealer said efforts to get Portable to pay the balance or return the vehicle failed as the singer claimed the vehicle is faulty.
After waiting for a while without any word concerning his balance, the dealer reached out to the singer who claimed the car he purchased had faults. The dealer then asked the singer to return the car or pay the balance but Portable allegedly refused.

Following a petition from the car dealer, the police moved in and arrested the singer. The singer jumped his gate in an attempt to stop the arrest.
He is currently in custody at the state police headquarters and might spend the night there as the police is yet to receive any surety for his bail.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of the singer.
