E-Money and Kcee Vows To Take Care Of Late Jnr Pope ‘s Children Till They Grow (VIDEO)
The remains of Nollywood actor,Junior Pope was laid to rest successfully on the 17th of May, 2024, leaving the family members in state of pitty as other sympathizers stood by to console them.

Famous Singer Kcee spoke on behalf of himself, his brother, E-Money and friends who came around, in a promise to take care of the late Actor’s children till they grow.

On his part, singer, Kingsley Okonkwo (Kcee), who attended the funeral with his brother, Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), said;
“Junior Pope was a blessing to this generation. A loving guy; somebody that we will not forget in this generation. Someone who was content with whatever he had. He called my brother and I ‘my blood’.
“My brother, who is the godfather of Pope’s first son, has said we would take care of the children. But, we cannot do that without the support of the family. We are saying it openly to the family that we are not doing it to show off, but because of his last statement before he died.”
(While on a boat ride on the day before his death, Junior Pope had said he had three children, and he wanted to be the one to take care of them).
Responding to Kcee, a member of Pope’s family thanked the brothers for deciding to help train the late actor’s sons, stating that they were going to set up a trust fund for the kids to ensure their upbringing and education.
The funeral proceedings had commenced on April 23 with a requiem mass at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State.
An evening of tributes and candlelight was also held on May 14, honouring the actor and the four other crew members who tragically lost their lives alongside him.
On Thursday, May 16, a wake was organised in honour of the late actor in his hometown.
E Money had taken to his social media account with a post which captioned;
“It has been one week since you departed from this world, leaving behind a profound sense of loss that reverberates not only among us but also across Africa and beyond. Your presence, as both a friend and a brother, is deeply missed, JP. The weight of your absence bears heavily upon our hearts, yet we draw comfort from the belief that God will grant us the resilience to carry forward and uphold the legacy you’ve entrusted to us. We tenderly remember your final words on the boat, “NA ONLY ME DEM BORN I GET 3 CHILDREN NA ME GO RAISE THEM,” and we solemnly commit to honoring that vow. Your children now find solace in the embrace of the Okonkwo family, and we, as members of that family, pledge to nurture them as you would have wished. Your absence leaves a palpable void, JP, and your memory will forever be held dear. Rest peacefully, knowing that you are deeply cherished, and may God’s blessings encompass your soul, your family, and all who hold you in their hearts. ”
