Zubby Finally Responds After Fans Dragged Him For Wearing Red Polo To Junior Pope Burial (DETAILS)
Nollywood star Zubby Michael, finally responded to criticism regarding his choice of outfit worn at the burial ceremony of his colleague, Late Jnr Pope.
The remains of movie actor Jnr Pope was laid to rest in his hometown on the 17th of May, 2024. Hours after, social media users centered stirs and reactions to a post from the senior special assistant on media to the Delta State governor, Ossai Ovie Success.
The aide called out Zubby Michael for obviously wearing a ‘Red Shirt’ to the venue of his late colleague’s burial.
Ossai found Zubby Michael’s choice of a red t-shirt to be disrespectful and unsuitable for such a solemn occasion.
He expressed his disappointment, suggesting that a white or black outfit would have been more appropriate, given Junior Pope’s young age at the time of his death.
Zubby broke silence today, 18th of May with a caption to reply several drags from Netizens and fans.
Zubby took to his instagram story with a screenshot of one of his fan’s comment.
The fan by username; @treasureking_ wrote;
“@zubbymichael, For people wey dey yarn rubbish cus u wear red. make dem browse am and know say no be only black dem dey wear mourn person.”
On the screenshot was a search engine result, revealing what wearing red symbolizes in a funeral. According to google, wearing Red symbolizes an admiration for a lost loved one.
