“I Admit That I Made False Allegations Against You, I Regret My Actions” – Actress Halima Abubakar Says in Public Apology to Apostle Suleman (DETAILS)
Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar has publicly apologized to Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, months after a court ordered her to pay N10 million in damages to the pastor.
In a heartfelt letter dated Saturday, October 5, 2024, Halima expressed deep regret for the false allegations she made against Apostle Suleman, acknowledging the harm and distress her actions caused him, his wife Dr. Lizzy Suleman, their family, and the ministry.
The actress, in her letter of apology, admitted, “I admit that I made false allegations against you; and also regret my actions and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr. Mrs. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the Leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry.”
Halima’s apology comes after months of legal battles, during which a court ruled in favor of Apostle Suleman, ordering her to pay N10 million as compensation for defamation. Reflecting on her actions, the actress wrote, “For my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realized the depth of the harm, pains, and distress caused by my lies.” She humbly requested forgiveness, stating that her apology, though sincere, cannot undo the pain inflicted.
The public apology marks a turning point in the long-running dispute, as Halima Abubakar seeks to make amends. She ended her letter with, “I am truly sorry for all the hurts and distress I caused you, your family, and your ministry. Thank you very much and may the Heavens calm your heart.”
