Nigerian tallest man Afeez Agoro Oladimeji has reportedly passed away after suffering from a prolonged sickness. He was 48.

Afeez who was the second tallest human in West Africa had been ill for months, and had went for a hip surgery after he cried out for help on social media sometime in May.

 

Agoro had solicited N5million for his chronic hip arthritis treatment, which will see his ball and socket joint replaced.

 

 

The 48-year-old actor, who discovered at 19 that he has Acromegaly, known commonly as gigantism, had unsuccessfully tried to combat the ailment and currently stands at 7’5″ which makes him among the tallest people in Africa.
He said the money would help to take care of his operation and therapy.

 

According to the Computer Science graduate from the University of Lagos, the ailment is challenging and had left him bedridden for eight months.

 

The tallest man cried out in a viral video about his medical condition. He said he could not walk again and that getting the required operation would help him get back on his feet.

 

He reportedly had the surgery in May, 2023.

 

According to a friend, he was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, on Wednesday evening after he developed some complications.

 

“I reached out to check on him as usual yesterday only to be told by someone who picked his call that he had be rushed to LUTH due to complications.

 

“But unfortunately, this morning I was informed he died around 7:30pm last night,” Jide Ojo-Olusola mourned.
