Oloriburuku!!; Paul Okoye Calls Out Twin Brother Peter for Allegedly Stealing and Releasing His Song (DETAILS)
Renowned Nigerian artist Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has taken to social media to call out his twin brother and former musical partner, Peter Okoye, for allegedly releasing a song Paul claims was originally written and sung by him.
Paul, who is one half of the legendary P-Square duo, did not hold back in his criticism, addressing both Peter and their management team over what he termed as “manipulation.”
In a series of posts, Paul shared his frustration, revealing that his song, titled “Winning,” had been released by Peter despite the fact that it was written and sung by Paul himself. The song was produced by the same producer both brothers have used, raising questions about how the situation unfolded. Paul hinted at releasing his own version of the song, expressing his disappointment in a caption that read:
“WINNING
Written and sang by RUDEBOY
Produced by same producer.
NOW HOW COME? NOW AM I SUPPOSE TO RELEASE ANOTHER VERSION? Mr Producer, your case na for another day…
Just a simple thing: Bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs… submitted my 6 songs to the so-called management. Why re-singing my own song 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ word for word 🤷🏾♂️ Song that was supposed to be in my album next year June 🤷🏾♂️.”
In an earlier post, Paul had expressed his discontent with what he described as constant manipulation in the music industry. He issued a warning to his management, stating that he would not hesitate to release the original versions of his work if the situation continued. He wrote:
“The days of manipulation are over!!
And to the management… make I hear any song wey na only me sing… I go release the original version…
Oloriburuku!!
Music is not that hard!!”
The escalating tension between the Okoye brothers, who reunited as P-Square not long ago after years of a publicized split, has left fans both shocked and saddened. Many are concerned about what this conflict could mean for their musical future together.
