Man arrested for abduction in Ondo State

One Nsem Godwin (pictured below) has been arrested by men of the Ondo state police command for alleged abduction of a four month old baby in Okitipupa town, Ondo state.

Confirming the abduction to news men, CSP Femi Joseph, the Ondo state police command spokesperson, said the suspect was arrested by the Highway Saver Policemen of the command while attempting to escape with the victim.

The state police command spokesperson said the suspect somehow found his way into the compound where the baby resides with his parents. The baby was playing in their compound with his older brother when the suspected kidnapper abducted him.

Unfortunately for him, he was spotted by some residents of the community who questioned him on how he got the baby. He couldn’t give any meaningful answer as he began to pretend that he was mentally unstable.

The community elders reportedly prevented angry residents from beating him to death of which he was handed over to the police in no time.
