Ighalo to be left in England as Manchester United travels to Spain

Manchester United latest signing Odion Ighalo will remain in England while the rest of the squad will travel to a training camp in Spain with concerns over border restrictions in UK over people who recently traveled to China.

The border restrictions was placed due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus in China which have claimed over 700 lives. Man united are scared that Ighalo not be able to return to the UK if he leaves now, so the striker will stay in Manchester on a personal training and fitness programme.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer made this clear while speaking with MUTV “Odion will be in Manchester, because he came from China 14 days ago, due to the situation in China, we’re not sure Odion will be allowed back into the United Kingdom if he leaves the country again, so for now he’s staying here working with a coach, and his family then can settle in England as well.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba who has missed most part of the season due to injury was also confirmed not to be traveling with the team as he’s still battling with ankle injury.

 

Marcus Rashford who is also struggling with back injury will also not be traveling, while Mctominay and Tuanzebe will be joining the team to the warm weather training camp in Spain.
