Governor Wike Gifts Burna Boy A Land In GRA Portharcourt & Millions Of Naira To Build On It

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has given recent Grammy award winning singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, a land in GRA, Portharcourt,  and millions of naira to build his desired house on it.

Burna boy and his parents were invited and honoured by the state governor of Rivers state this weekend after giving the state an international recognition by winning the Grammy for Global Album Award.

It was also alleged that Burna Boy was paid 100 million to perform in the state this weekend.

While gifting him the land, Wike said:

There is no Rivers person that will say he or she is not happy with the kind of pride you’ve brought us. I am very happy and I can tell you, whatever you think we can do to promote you, we will continue to do it. You’ve done us proud and we owe you a duty to show you love. Wherever you are, your people appreciate you.”

Governor Wike also gave other artists who performed the sum of 10 million naira each.
