“It’s Impossible To Recognise Everyone Deserving Of An Award”- MO Abudu Finally Replies Ruth Kadiri

Media mogul, MO Abudu has finally reacted to Ruth Kadiri’s rant on social media of not being recognized at the Eko Star Film and TV Awards.

MO Abudu stated that the platform for the award was created this year and there are so many actresses, writers and presenters who deserve the award but it’s impossible to recognise all of them in 2021, that there will other editions.

Her words:

“The Eko Star Awards was designed to recognise women who have made a significant contribution to Nigeria’s film and television industry.

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture worked in partnership with EbonyLife Place and the Nigerian International Film Summit to make the selections and stage the event.

With a target number of 60 awards across 14 categories, it would be impossible to recognise everyone deserving of an award. This is particularly true when it comes to actors, therefore a representative selection was made of veterans, established and relative newcomers who have made an impact on the Nollywood landscape.

We would like to make this an annual event during International Women’s Month, to honour the countless other deserving actors, writers, producers, directors and others who continue to shape our industry.

I thank our partners, the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture and the Nigerian International Film Summit.
