“Are You Proud Of Me?”-Nancy Isime Pens Loving Tribute To Her Late Mum

Nollywood actress and TV presenter, Nancy Isime has written a tribute to her mum who died 25years ago. The actress took to her Instagram account to write a loving tribute to her mum who died on the 28th of April, 1996.

She wrote,

“Dear Mum,

25 years today.

Unlike the other years where I’d feel overwhelming emotions on this day, today is quite different.
I’d zeroed my mind and told the people who call me on a daily basis to not bother today because I won’t be “Peopling”.
It’s been my tradition, to sit in the dark, when I can escape work, and just let all these emotions overwhelm me without even trying to fight them.

But, today I feel at peace. Overwhelming at peace. Strange but true.
I’ve been peopling all day mum😄, attending to work, “executive producing”😄, writing, journaling, meditating, and just doing everything that brings me even more peace.
What’s even better is that I know you’d want this for me.
I’ve come a long way with my mental health mum, such a long way and it’s so beautiful to witness.
I know you’d be proud of me.”

I know I ask and hope this everytime but I really really really hope you are.
