Bimbo Ademoye is a Nigerian model and actress born on the 4th of February, 1991 in Lagos State. The actress and her only sister were raised up by their father as their parents separated when she was at the age of two.

She stated in an interview that she had to live with her aunty at a point in her life when things became so tough.

Bimbo started her basic education in Lagos State where she attended St Margaret’s Primary School, Ikorodu, Lagos State after which, she moved in to Ogun State where she did her secondary education at Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State.

She is a graduate of the famous private university, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State where she read Business Administration.

Career

Bimbo began her acting career in 2014 in a short film titled ‘Where Talent Lies’ and this was after her mentor, Uduak Isong introduced her into the acting industry.The film received accolades from the Africa International festival and this made her famous. However, in an interview, she stated that her role in the movie ‘Backup wife’ was her breakthrough.

In an interview with Punch Newspaper, the curvy actress said she likes Kerry Washington and Tiffany Haddish.

“I admire Kerry Washington and Tiffany Haddish. I will also like to work with Genevieve Nnaji”.

She also named Uduak Isong as her mentor.

In 2017, Bimbo was nominated Revelation of the Year in the Best of Nollywood Awards.

In 2018, the 30 years old actress won the Best Supporting Actress in the Best of Nollywood Awards. She was also nominated Best Kiss in a movie still in the Best of Nollywood Awards.

In 2019, Bimbo turned down a butt enlargement deal reason being that she does not endorse brands she does not use.

Speaking during an interview with Saturday Beats, she said,

“I have turned down tons . there have been some folks that wanted to sell butt enlargement cream. I turned it down. No disrespect to anybody, but it’s my belief that it doesn’t work. you can’t rub some ointment on your body and expect that part to only increase in size. that’s why I always turn down things like that.”

“I don’t endorse products I cannot use myself, for me to speak about it, meaning I even have used it. once you see me endorse a product, it means I even have used it and tested it.”

Controversies/Rumours

Due to the trend of hip and butt surgery by the female gender, Bimbo was accused of performing a surgery but the actress debunked the rumour saying that tiny waist and big butt runs in her family.

“I was born with a small waist; but I have been snatching my waist since I was my second year in the university”, she revealed.

You must have noticed the tattoo on the upper part of her body. Speaking about it, the curvy actress revealed that she did it just to cover the name of her ex boyfriend which she inked on her body.

“I got the tattoo on my shoulder because I was trying to cover my ex-boyfriends name. I tattooed his name on my shoulder when I was not yet wise. The relationship didn’t work out, so I had to cover the tattoo with another one; hence, the reason why I have a feather tattooed on my shoulder. My father wanted to disown me and I don’t have another father so I had to cover it up with this new one. My daddy has been disturbing me about marriage. He is the only one disturbing me to get married at the moment”.

In 2019, Bimbo Ademoye was alleged to be dating Phlex a musician, this came after a music video he did which featured the actress.

In the heat of the rumour, Bimbo debunked it revealing that he is only a friend of her cousin.
She disclosed,

“There is absolutely nothing of such between us. He’s my cousin’s friend and that’s it. I just did a cameo appearance in his video because of his affiliation with my cousin. On a normal day I won’t do it. It is absolutely not true at all. I don’t even want to entertain it in any form”.
